
The government of Punjab on Saturday transferred 9 IPS officers and 1 PPS officer in a major rejig. The latest transfer posting order was issued by the Department of Home Affairs (Home-I Branch) under the Government of Punjab. In its notification, the Punjab Government has cleared the postings of several senior police officers whose transfers had been previously ordered but were awaiting for their postings. The officers who were awaiting their postings include- Varinder Kumar, R.K. Jaiswal, Kuldeep Singh Chahal, and Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh.
Furthermore, 2011 IPS Officer Nanak Singh, who was posted as SSP Patiala, has now been posted as DIG Patiala Range, after the retirement of Mandeep Singh Sidhu. Nanak Singh's name grabbed headlines during the infamous Army Officer's assault case.
