The India Meteorological Department (IMD) of the Chandigarh unit had predicted thunderstorms in multiple areas of Punjab til June 4. However, after June 4, 2025, IMD Chandigarh has issued no fresh thunderstorm predictions. It means, Punjab Weather is expected to flip again with summer set to be intensified. Now, the question arises why Punjab is witnessing both hot and cool weather at the same time. Continue reading below to know the answer-

Punjab Hot and Cool Weather Reason

The weird weather that Punjab is witnessing is not new. As per reports, sudden or occasional thunderstorms and strong winds often occur in the evening during India's summer months due to the combination of high temperatures, moisture, and atmospheric instability. The heating of the land during the day creates a pressure difference, drawing in moist air and leading to convection. This process is often intensified by the sea breeze, and the resulting unstable atmosphere can trigger thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening.
