Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Thursday hoisted the Tricolour at Guru Gobind Singh stadium on the occasion of Independence Day 2024. CM Mann inspected the parade and took a salute from the march past. 1) Punjab's social bonding is very strong
Punjab CM Mann said that Punjab's social bonding is very strong. Do not try to spread the seeds of hatred in it. Festivals like Eid, Ramnavami, Hanuman Jayanti are celebrated together here. Martyrs belong to the whole country. They should not be divided.
2. Zero tolerance policy made regarding drugs
The government has made a zero-tolerance policy to make Punjab drug-free. So far 14394 drug smugglers have been caught. Ten thousand FIRs have been registered. 394 big drug smugglers have been caught. Property worth 173 crores of drug smugglers has been confiscated.
3. Government is earning crores by selling electricity
The state has made a surplus in the field of electricity. Goindwal Sahib Thermal Plant has been purchased. Now three out of five thermal plants are government. The government is earning crores by selling electricity.
4. 10 thousand police personnel will be recruited
So far 44666 youth have been given jobs in Punjab. Youths are getting jobs without giving bribes. Ten thousand employees will be recruited in the police soon.
5. Other states are asking about Road Safety Force
Punjab is the first state in the country to create a Road Safety Force. The force has saved the lives of 1400 people since February. Along with this, people's valuables have also been saved. Apart from CM's address, 18 police officers were awarded the Chief Minister's Medal for drug recovery in Punjab.
