In a major loss for the Opposition Congress in Punjab, four former ministers and an ex-MLA switched allegiances to the BJP in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

In the presence of BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, former ministers Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Balbir Singh Sidhu, Raj Kumar Verka, and Sunder Sham Arora, as well as ex-MLA Kewal Singh Dhillon, were inducted into the party.

The leaders of Congress and who have joined BJP today are likely to bring a big change in the politics of the state. In the same BJP, there is a situation of Chaos among some leaders regarding this. The BJP leaders can come under stress due to the arrival of these leaders; Sunil Jakhar had joined BJP in the past but did not formally meet the leaders of Punjab BJP.

When Amit Shah came to Chandigarh, as soon as Amit Shah came, Jakhar converted the big leaders of Congress to BJP and has done a huge surgical strike inside the Congress. With the arrival of these leaders, BJP will benefit a lot. Such possibilities were being raised even earlier that BJP could benefit from Jakhar joining BJP as many leaders could have joined BJP.

There is also a possibility that in the coming days, some other big faces of Congress, on whom two leaders of Jalandhar and two leaders of Ludhiana can go to BJP.
Due to the leaders who joined BJP today, the career of some BJP leaders may be in danger, including Tikshan Sud of Hoshiarpur. Because Sundar Sham Arora, who has also been a minister from there, has a figure of 36 from Tikshan Sud. Similarly, the other leaders who have joined from their respective places are a threat to the BJP leaders.

Similarly, Jakhar's entry in Punjab BJP has made it clear that just like Jakhar has included these big faces in BJP, Jakhar's role in BJP can be bigger in the coming days. There can also be a possibility that there can be a change in the state leadership of BJP.

BJP state president Ashwini Sharma can also be changed. The BJP Central High Command wants to change the state leadership. Because the current leadership of BJP, it seems that it is not so attached to the people.

After the peasant movement, this leadership competed in the state, but this leadership is not so successful among the people. Now when some big faces of Congress are involved in BJP, they can get some big responsibilities in such circumstances, because the target of the BJP is the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
BJP wants to fight the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 on its own and wants as many seats as possible. After that BJP would like to form its government in the state in 2027.
