Ludhiana: Shoe trader's worker looted at Karabara Chowk; robbers flee with Rs 12.5 lakh & Activa after assault

He further added that the miscreants assaulted him and snatched the active from him and fled away with the money.

An incident took place in the Ludhiana district of Punjab at Karabara Chowk where a man was stopped by four miscreants at an isolated place and looted Rs. 12.5 lakh from him. The incident took place on Thursday at 11:30 pm.

Not only the money, but the robbers also fled with the person’s Activa after beating him up brutally. The money was kept inside the dicky of the Activa

After the incident was reported at the police station, checking was carried out late at night by the Police Station of Daresai, but no evidence related to the miscreants was found.

The person who was looted is identified as Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Qila Mohalla who works with a shoe trader in Ludhiana.

He described the whole incident that happened with him to the police officials.

He said, “after leaving my owner back to his home, I was coming back to Qila Mohalla. On my way, I had to collect payment from two parties which later was to be deposited in the bank. As soon as I reached Kabara Chowk, I was surrounded by 4 youths.”

He further added that the miscreants assaulted him and snatched the Activa from him and fled away with the money.

SHO Rajesh Thakur also reached the spot. The investigation regarding the case is going on by scanning the CCTV footage and the routes are also being checked again and again.
