Punjab: Major setback to BJP as 4 councilors join Aam Aadmi Party in Jalandhar

The BJP government in Punjab has received a massive setback from Aam Aadmi Party as 4 councilors of Jalandhar district have left the party and joined AAP. It has not only shaken up the party but also the general secretary, Shubhash Sharma. Many BJP leaders including 4 councilors of having joined the Aam Aadmi Party today by organizing a program at the circuit house.

Vineet Dheer who is the husband of Jalandhar West councilor said that he will not give any statement about the party that he has left but he surely said that the people who are heading the party are not very good. He further added that he feels suffocated in the party and that is why has decided to leave it.

The AAP MLA of Jalandhar West, Sheetal Angural has welcomed all of them to the party. According to the sources, AAP is also in touch with the councilors of Congress after Harsimran Singh Bunty joined the party. There is even a rumor that Jagdish Raj Raja, the mayor of the city, is also in touch with AAP.

The Bhartiya Janta Party which is making its best efforts to emerge as a strong party in Punjab has got shocked after 4 main leaders of the party left it. It is also a major setback for them as the resignation comes at a time when the corporation elections are on the cards.
