A man in the Dharampur village in Abohar chopped off the legs and the private part of another after finding the victim in an objectionable position with his mother. A case has been registered against Vikram Singh alias Vicky and the injured man, Sarwan Singh, has been admitted to the hospital.
As per information from the police, Sarwan was involved in illicit relations with the accused’s mother. Sarwan Singh, a resident of Dharampura village, sells wood in the village and had been involved in a relation with the woman without any knowledge to the woman's family. At around 12 at midnight, he went to meet the woman. Shortly after, the woman’s son, Vikram Singh, walked in on the couple in an objectionable position and in a fit of rage, attacked the victim with his axe. He cut the victim’s private part. One of his legs was cut in three places, while the other was amputated. The mother fled the scene to save her life.
The villagers say that the ambulance came to the village at around 4 o'clock in the night and took Saravan to the government hospital for treatment in a pool of blood. The police reached the spot and have taken the accused into custody.
The police inform that the accused along with the axe have been taken into custodya and further investigation is underway.
