Punjab Ministers Net Worth: Jimpa holds ₹ 8 cr property, Who is the Richest, From Oldest to Youngest Member in Cabinet; Check

In Punjab, the cabinet of CM Bhagwant Mann of the Aam Aadmi Party government has been prepared. In the first phase, 10 ministers are taking the oath. 

Mann's cabinet is unique in many ways compared to the previous Congress's Charanjit Channi government. 

Out of 10 new ministers, 2 are lakhpatis. Of these, Lalchand Kataruchakk has assets of 6 lakhs and Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has assets of 44 lakhs.

The total assets of the ministers of the government are 72 crores. At the same time, the total assets of the ministers who were in the Channi government were 348 crores. 

Rana Gurjit, who was a minister in the Channi government, had a property of 170 crores alone. From this perspective, the total assets of your new ministers are not even equal to half of them.

Even in terms of age, the Mann cabinet is full of young faces. The average age of 11 ministers including the CM in the Mann cabinet is 46 years. Whereas in Channi Sarkar, this average age was 59 years.

Property: The richest minister in the Mann government is Brahma Shankar Jimpa with a property of 8 crores. Lalchand Kataruchakk has the least assets of 6 lakhs.

Age: Harjot Bains youngest minister, Mann second youngest CM

Harjot Bains is the youngest minister of 31 years in the government. Bhagwant Mann is also the youngest CM of Punjab after Parkash Singh Badal. Apart from this, the second young minister in the Mann cabinet is 32-year-old Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer. 

The rest of the ministers are Harpal Cheema 47 years old, Dr Baljit Kaur 46, Harbhajan ETO 53 years old, Dr Vijay Singla 52, Lalchand Kataruchak 51, Kuldeep Dhaliwal 60 and Brahma Shankar Jimpa 56 years old.


Tript Rajinder Bajwa, at 78, was the oldest minister in the Channi government. The youngest was 44-year-old Amarinder Singh Raja Vading. The age of nine ministers in the Channi government was above 60 years.

Education: 2 matriculations, 2 twelfth and 2 doctors

in Maan Sarkar, Lalchand Kataruchak and Kuldeep Dhaliwal have studied till 10th. Laljit Bhullar and Brahma Shankar Jimpa have studied till the 12th standard. Apart from these, there are 2 doctors 

Baljit Kaur and Vijay Singla. Harpal Cheema has done LLB, Harbhajan ETO has done MA, Meet Hayer BTech and Harjot Bains has done BA, LLB. CM Bhagwant Mann has done B.Com Part One.

In Channi Sarkar, CM Charanjit Channi studied BA, LLB, MBA and was doing a PhD. Manpreet Badal did BA and LLB at number two. At least until the 9th, Sangat Singh Giljian had studied. The education of Razia Sultana, Rana Gurjit and Amarinder Raja Vading was till 10th standard.

Criminal Case: Case against 7 ministers including CM, murder case on one

7 ministers including CM in 4 spotless cabinets. There is a case of rally and demonstration against CM Bhagwant Mann, Harpal Cheema, Meet Hayer, Lalchand Kataruchak, Laljit Bhullar. Apart from this, there is a murder case against Kuldeep Dhaliwal, who won from Ajnala's seat. 

In this case, registered in Rajasansi on 21 May 2019, the High Court has stayed his arrest. Apart from this, there is no case against 4 new ministers Harjot Bains, Brahma Shankar Jimpa, Dr Vijay Singla and Dr Baljit Kaur. 

There was no case against 17 of the 18 ministers in the Channi government. The case was registered only against minister Rana Gurjit from Kapurthala.
