Punjab school education department opens registration for NTSE examination

The exam is scheduled to be held on December 13, 2020.

The Punjab School Education Department will reopen the portal for registration for the state-level National Talent Search Examination (NTSE, Stage-1). The portal will remain open from November 11 to November 15 looking at the problems being faced by the students. 

The exam for NTSE is scheduled to be held on December 13, 2020.  

As per the spokesperson of the Punjab school education department, the students of class X can also appear for the exam. SC, ST and Physically challenged categories should have 55% marks and other categories have 70% marks in Class IX. 

The spokesperson further said that about 2,000 scholarships will be given to students by the NCERT. The scholarships will be given to those students who will pass the stage ll of the examination which will be conducted by NCERT, New Delhi. 

The students of XI and XII class will get Rs. 1250 per month as scholarship, while Rs. 2000 per month will be given to the graduation and post-graduation students.

Other class students will receive scholarships according to UGC rules. The reservation for this scholarship will be as per the reservation policy of the constituted central  Government. 

The candidates who want to apply for the test must visit the website to register themselves for the exam at www.epunjabschool.gov.in portal.
