Gangster threats are yet again eclipsing the Punjabi entertainment industry and many well-known singers are on the radar. The latest incident that shocked the industry is shooting at Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulakh's close aide Andy Dugga's tire showroom in Brampton, Canada. An accused named Tanmanjot Singh Gill was arrested by the Canadian authorities in the case of the firing at Andy Dugga's Millennium Tire showroom in Brampton. As per reports, the arrested accused Tanmanjot Singh Gill is 23 years old and is of Punjab origin. Notably, it is not yet known with which gang Gill is associated. One more accused is yet to be arrested in the Mankirat Aulakh's friend shooting case.

Talking about Mankirat Aulakh's friend Andy Dugga, his full name is Indrajeet Dugga. He is originally from the village Rampura Sunra in Phagwara, Punjab. In 1989 he went to Canada from Punjab. He opened the New Millennium Tire Centre. After this, he became friends with Mankirat Aulakh. Mankirat has also reportedly mentioned his name in many songs. Apart from this, he is also associated with the Punjabi film and music industry. Apart from this, he is also at the forefront of organizing Kabaddi tournaments in Canada.

Reports suggest that Dugga is on Bambiha gang target. Ever since gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was linked with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, the Bambiha gang has started to target many musicians and their associates. Bambiha gang alleges that Andy Dugga supports gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Bambiha gang alleges that after the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, Andy Dugga had given shelter to the accused. However, this has not been mentioned anywhere in the Punjab Police and Canadian investigation.

It is pertinent to mention here that Mankirat has been questioned by the NIA in the past on his ‘links with gangsters’ in the aftermath of the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Mankirat was once stopped at the airport by the NIA when he was about to go to Dubai. NIA also questioned Aulakh for two hours at its office in Chandigarh and told him not to go abroad without their permission.  Notably, Mankirat Aulakh has multiple refused any links with Lawrence Bishnoi or his alleged role in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
