In a shocking development, a Punjab Police ASI Saroop Singh was shot dead by unknown assailants in Jandiala Guru, Amritsar. As per the information received, ASI Saroop Singh had gone for official work from his home at 9 pm on Thursday but never returned. As a result, his family started searching for him. Thereafter, on Friday morning, Saroop Singh's dead body was found near Khankot village. The Police have now launched an investigation into the matter. As per the investigating cops, Saroop Singh was posted as an ASI at Nawad Pind police station.
