The Punjab Police under AAP has taken a big step ahead over youth’s employment in the state to fill the vacant posts in the department. Punjab Police has released the notification for the scheduled examination to fill 1191 posts in the department’s various cadres.

The examination will be conducted from October 14th to 16th for which the admit cards will be released soon on the department’s website which applicants are advised to visit regularly to remain updated with the latest notifications.

The Constable Intelligence and Investigation Cadre exam will be held on October 14 from 9 am to 12 noon, whereas the first paper for Head Constable Recruitment of Investigation Cadre will be held from 9 am to 11 am on October 15th and the second paper will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm.

While for the district police the Punjab Police has scheduled the examination on October 16. There will be 2 papers for this post as well. The first will start at 9 am and the second at 3 pm.

Earlier, Punjab Police made recruitment directly for the post of Sub Inspector in the year 2011, but owing to certain legal battles the selection could only be done by the latest of 2013 and their joining could be done in the year 2014.

After this, in the year 2015, about 110 women were recruited. Whereas, in the year 2016 about 235 posts for women were filed against 210 men.

In the first year of the tenure of AAP's Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab, the youth are getting a chance to get a job. Police personnel will be recruited in various cadres in order to tackle the menace of the state’s poor law and order.
