Phagwara: On Wednesday, police said that an unsuccessful attempt was made by unidentified robbers to loot a branch of Punjab & Sindh Bank late on Tuesday night.
“The robbers, who entered the bank branch situated on Phillaur-Nawanshahr road, by breaking the locks of the shutter, couldn't break the locks of the locker room of the bank”, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amrik Singh Chahal said.
A case has been registered and investigations are on, said the DSP.
