Punjab Tableau depicting unparalleled and supreme sacrificeof Ninth Sikh Guru Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to mark his 400th Prakash Purb wasthe star attraction during the 72nd Republic Day parade at New Delhi.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of thePunjab government said that the state’s tableau aptly reflected the theme toperpetuate the life and philosophy of ‘Hind Di Chadar’ Sri Guru Tegh BahadurJi, who laid down his life to uphold the eternal values of humanity, religiousco-existence and freedom of faith.
The tableau got massive applause from the people ofdifferent walks of life across the country, who highly lauded the Punjabgovernment’s endeavour to showcase Guru Ji's unprecedented sacrifice and valourfor the sake of mankind and religious tolerance, which is evident from theencouraging comments posted on various social media platforms. The tableau hasset forth the divine ambience on 400th Prakash Purb celebrations of Ninth SikhGuru which would go a long way in cementing the bonds of universal brotherhood,communal harmony and national integration.
Notably, the tableau of Punjab has been selected for theRepublic Day parade for the fifth consecutive year. State’s tableau got thethird position in 2019 being the shining achievement, while its tableau onJallianwala Bagh massacre earned accolades all over. Earlier, in 1967 and 1982also, the Punjab tableau won the third slot, the spokesperson added.
