In the latest development, three famous toll plazas of Punjab will soon get closed down at 12 midnight on 14th February 2023. The Public Works Department has given confirmation that 2 toll plazas of Hoshiarpur and 1 of Nawanshahr will be shut down forever after the announcement of Punjab CM Mann.
Reportedly, all three toll plazas that will be closed belong to the same company. As per information, on Monday afternoon, the Toll Plaza Company officials held a meeting with the Punjab Government. Post the meeting, it was decided that toll plazas including Majari of Nawanshahr, Nangal Shaheed of Hoshiarpur and Mangarh will be shut down.
People travelling to Jammu and Kashmir from Nawanshahr to Dasuha, Pathankot will now have to pay zero toll. According to the Public Works Department, from February 15, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will reach these toll gates and inform the people about their closure.
