The activities going on in Punjab seem to be all ready to hinder the peace of the state. The reports received reveal that approximately 10 terror modules were busted by the Punjab Police in the last month which is not great news for the state. DGP Punjab, Gaurav Yadav’s Twitter handle provides the full details of the terror modules that were pinned down by the administration. Although all these terror modules were found out by the police department, but the fact that such high-level planning was done to create unrest in the state is itself an issue of serious concern.
The main question that arises here is what would have happened if any of these modules would have slipped from the grip of Punjab Police. It is a matter of utmost shock that almost every second day 2 modules are busted. The terror modules, arrest of gangsters and drug-related activities going on in the state points out the fact that Punjab is again falling into the trap of terrorism. It is very important to understand why has there been a sudden rise in terrorist activities in Punjab.
Here are some of the reasons that can make it clearer:
1. People trying to influence youth to a join terrorism
There are many people and chiefs of different organizations that are involving the youth of Punjab themselves to create a state of unrest. People like the Chief of ‘Waris Punjab De,’ Amritpal Singh every day give a statement that poses a serious threat to the state. The youth coming under the influence of such people can cause serious problems.
2. Unresolved issues of sacrilege
There have been many issues of sacrilege that still need to be resolved. The people affected because of the same have a lot of anger inside them over the non-serious action of the government related to these issues. These people might choose the wrong path to get justice which can be threatening to Punjab.
3. Rising rate of unemployment
The fact that the rate of unemployment is rising in the state of Punjab is not hidden from anyone. The youth of Punjab is forever ready to go overseas to get better opportunities. The students that are not able to go out and also do not have any jobs here are frustrated. The frustration comes out of joining illegal activities that can harm the state.
The below-mentioned cases clearly point out the fact that the youth of Punjab is not very happy with the working of the system and also that the harmony of the state is under serious threat. All these cases were mentioned by the DGP Punjab.

Earlier also Punjab has suffered a lot as a state. The terrorism activities started in early 80s and ended almost after 20 years. 25,000 people had to lose their lives in assassinations and genocides that took place in the state. Not only this, but the main leaders of India Ex-PM Indira Gandhi and Ex-Punjab CM Beant Singh were killed in the assassination due to terrorist activities in Punjab.
Even the leaders of Punjab have shown serious concern over deteriorating law and order in the state. MLA Sukhpal Singh Kahira said, "What has changed in Punjab in your rule Mr. Badlav party Arvind Kejriwal? Same drug abuse, employees agitating, farmers suicides, illegal mining, Sarari Minister corruption, lawlessness, etc. You only made a joker of Punjab & now you’re fooling Gujrat voters! The day isn’t far when you’ll be 0. The general secretary of BJP stated, "The law and order in Punjab is deteriorating because the CM is busy in elections taking place in Gujarat and HP. Instead of this, he should focus on solving the problems of youth because of which they are choosing the wrong path."
The fact that is pertinent to be mentioned is, Police are giving their best to keep the state safe from these people. It is a great fact that everyday terror modules that could have caused huge damage to the state are being unveiled. The thing which cannot be ignored is that Punjab is falling into the trap of terrorism, and the government along with police force have come together to retain the peace of the state.
