Shocking information from Jalandhar has come to the fore regarding which two videos have surfaced. Two victims have alleged a broker from Punjab traps women by giving them bait of providing a well-to-do job overseas but instead of providing them with jobs he sells them to people living there.
A girl hailing from Punjab shot a video of herself saying that she has been sent to Dubai by a Jalandhar-based broker who promised to provide her with a job. Later on, she was sold in Dubai for more than Rs. 3 lakhs. The girl said that she comes from a poor family who cannot pay such a huge amount to bring her back. She further stated that she has sent an email to Punjab CM Mann seeking help from him to come back to India. The victim has been identified as Gurpreet Kaur.
Video of another woman surfaced who refused to reveal her identity. In her video, she stated that while the broker promised to take her to Dubai but instead of that she was sold to people in Muscat. She further revealed that she does all household work for around 40-45 people and is later sent to Sheikhs. Apart from this, she is locked up in the room and is fed meat forcibly. She also stated that when she refuses the same, people beat her badly.
The parents of the victim girl appeared before the DSP Sub Division Phillaur and lodged a complaint against the agent and his associates. They have requested the government and police to bring their daughter home as soon as possible.
