In shocking news, a married couple of Punjab made headlines as the wife reportedly got addicted to heroin (chitta) after taking the drugs for pain relief during labor. She started taking the narcotic as treatment for her cervical pain, but unfortunately developed an addiction. Her husband was also an addict, who gave her the narcotics during labor. Feeling remorseful for their condition, the couple have admitted themselves to a de-addiction centre for a positive change in their lives.
Before going to the hospital for delivery, the husband gave drugs (Chitta) to his wife so that she could resist labor pain. Subsequently, she developed a habit and started taking drugs three times a day. Her husband, who was already a drug addict, along with his wife, spent crores on drugs. This habit also caused them to gain the ire of their family. Although they wished for the couple to stop they couldn’t let them into the house for the sake of the children. However, now they both have joined a de-addiction center and started a new journey in their lives.
Initially taking the drugs for pain relief, the wife unfortunately developed a habit and would therefore take drugs upto 3 times a day. The couple revealed that they had spent crores of money to support the drug habit. They decided to take the step together and quit however, feeling remorseful for the future of their children. Now the couple only wish to change their lives for the better and secure a bright and lucrative future for their children.
