What do mythologies say?

As per the Hindu mythological texts ‘Brahmavaivart Puran’ Goddesses Radha is timeless and was not born from her mother’s womb rather it is believed that Mother Kirti had the wind in her womb and due to the blessings of god she gave birth to the wind but to surprise Goddesses, Radha appeared out of nowhere, which is why she is called the ‘Mother of Ayonija’ (meaning the one who has not born in the womb).

It is believed in Hindu religious texts that Lord Shri Krishna himself says that I walk behind those who chant Radha’s name and hence Lord Krishna remains within Radha.

While describing the divine and supernatural form of Radha, the scriptures have said that just as Shri Krishna is Brahmarupa beyond the nature of Trigun Maya and development, similarly Shri Radha is Brahmaswaroopa away from nature.

Shri Radha is the reason for Shri Krishna's Ananda Kanda form. On the full moon day of Kartik, Shri Krishna worshiped Radha in the Rasamandal of Goloka.

Keeping Radha-Kavach in a Gutika of exquisite gems, Shri Krishna along with the gopas held it in his throat and right arm. After meditating and eulogizing him with devotion, he himself ate the chewed tambul of Radha.

How people Worship on this day?

By keeping a fast on this day, after bathing the Deity of Radha with Panchamrit, make her wear beautiful clothes and ornaments and perform her aarti.

One should chant Shri Radha Mantra 'Om Radhayi Swaha'. Radhaji is the form of Shri Lakshmi, so worshiping her brings wealth and opulence. By chanting the name of Radha one gets the blessings of Shri Krishna very soon.
