MNS chief Raj Thackeray finally made his warning come true on Sunday. 'Hanuman Chalisa' is being played through loudspeakers at the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena office in Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

With the commencement of 'Hanuman Chalisa', the workers raised slogans of Jayshree Ram. A large crowd gathered outside the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena office in Ghatkopar. Raj Thackeray had on Saturday demanded the closure of loudspeakers of mosques.

Thackeray had said at a rally in Shivaji Park, "Why are loudspeakers in mosques played so loudly? If this is not stopped, Hanuman Chalisa will be played in a louder voice on the speaker outside the mosques."

He said, "I am not against prayer or any particular religion. I am proud of my religion." The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief also criticized NCP chief Sharad Pawar and accused him of "periodically raising the issue of caste and dividing the society".

Thackeray also took a dig at Maharashtra Chief Minister and his cousin Uddhav Thackeray, whose party Shiv Sena parted ways with the BJP in 2019 over the chief minister's post.

He said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah were saying that Devendra Fadnavis is going to be the next Chief Minister. Uddhav Thackeray was present on the stage but he never mentioned the seat-sharing formula.

Uddhav raised it only when he realized that the BJP cannot form the government without his help (after the 2019 elections)." The MNS leader alleged that the three parties (Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress) in the government were "Ignoring the mandate of the people".
