District Information and Public Relations Office, SAS Nagar, January 7: As per the directions of State Government, COVID-19 Vaccination Dry Run is to be conducted in SAS Nagar on January 8, informed Rajiv Kumar Gupta ADC(D), after the meeting with the Vaccination Task Force held in District Administrative Complex(DAC) to review the pre-arrangements for the dry-run.
Giving details he informed that the dry run is to be conducted at 3 sites namely District Hospital Mohali, Indus Hospital Mohali and at CHC Banur. Sharing the rationale behind the selection of sites he said that an urban and a rural government health facility and a private hospital have been selected so that a fair assessment of vaccination roll out in different set-ups may be made.
The Dry run is aimed at testing the laid out mechanisms for COVID-19 vaccination roll-out in the district and to assess gaps or bottlenecks, if any so that those could be addressed before the final roll out.
The entire vaccination drill will be conducted barring the administration of vaccine, he informed.
