Ram Charan’s Acharya postponed due to COVID surge

Keeping in mind the surge of Coronavirus cases the makers have decided to push back the release date.

The much-awaited Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya is among the mega-budget movies of the south Indian film industry. The audience is getting more and more eager as the release date is getting closer. The action drama is scheduled to release on May 13. However, keeping in mind the surge of Coronavirus cases the makers have decided to push back the release date. Now Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi’s Acharya will not be releasing on May 13. The confirmation was given by the makers on their official Twitter account. The new date is yet to be announced.

The Konidela Production Company of Ram Charan tweeted the announcement, “keeping in view of the pandemic situation, #acharya movie will not be releasing on May 13. New release date will be announced once the situation becomes normal. Wear mask, stay home and stay safe!”. The movie has been the talk of the town since the announcement. For the first time, Ram Charan will be seen sharing the screen with his father Chiranjeevi. After his 13 years long career in the film industry, the Rangasthalam actor will be seen in Siva Koratala direction with his father.

The movie Acharya has many such elements which make this movie a lot special and typical. Chiranjeevi and Mani Sharma's collaboration is set to break their own music records with this release. Other than that India's top technicians are involved in the making of this movie. The movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead while Pooja Hegde will appear in a cameo role opposite Ram Charan. Under Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment, Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy have joined hands to produce the film.
