BJP MLA Ram Kadam meets Maha Governor over arrest of Arnab Goswami demands immediate suspension of 9 policemen

As per reports, the Mumbai Police team including Sachin Vaze assaulted Arnab Goswami at his home.

A huge political uproar has erupted after Mumbai Police dragged senior journalist Arnab Goswami from his house and arrested him abetment of suicide case. Around 8 a.m., a team of over a dozen senior police officials from Mumbai and Raigad, several of them armed -- led by former ‘encounter specialist' and now with the elite Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) Sachin Vaze -- descended on his Worli home in Raheja Complex to pick him up.

After a lot of hullaballoo for nearly 15 minutes at the flat, the police team managed to take away Arnab, once dragging him by his hair and by his arm, and bundled him into a waiting police van which whisked him off to Raigad, with a camera team from Republic TV trailing.

As per reports, the Mumbai Police team including Sachin Vaze assaulted Arnab Goswami at his home. Following this huge political uproar erupted and the majority of people of India including Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed the Maharashtra State Government. 

Now, BJP MLA Ram Kadam has taken one step further. Kadam on Thursday met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari over the arrest of Arnab Goswami. On being asked why he met the Governor, Kadam said, "We totally respect the Mumbai Police. But that doesn't mean the Police will assault senior journalists like Arnab Goswami. We criticize the physical assault done by the 9 policemen and we will demand the governor to suspend those 9 policemen."

Kadam also shared his photos with Maharashtra Governor on his Twitter account.
