Samajwadi party candidate from Faizabad Awadhesh Prasad has been winning the Lok Sabha Elections by a whipping 8512 votes. On the other hand, BJP's candidate Lallu Singh is at number 2 and BSP's Sachidanand Pandey is at number 3. Faizabad Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 came as a shock as Ayodhya became a religious tourism hub after the construction of Ram Lalla's temple. In fact, PM Modi performed the Pran Pratistha ceremony in a grand ceremony where people from all fields came to attend it. However, on the other hand, parties like Congress and the Samajwadi Party boycotted the event calling it a 'BJP event'.

Going by the Election Commission of India's latest numbers, it can be said that Akhilesh Yadav's decision to not participate in Ayodhya Ram Temple's consecration ceremony is turning out to be a masterclass. However, in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, SP seems to have broken the BJP's stronghold and has dented PM Modi's call of 'Abki Baar 400 Paar'.

As per the latest Election Commission of India (ECI) trends, the Samajwadi Party (SP) is leading on 35 seats, whereas the BJP is leading on only 34 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress is leading on 7 seats in Uttar Pradesh.

PM Modi's Mangalsutra speech backfired in Uttar Pradesh?

Notably, PM Modi raked up controversy after he dropped the Mangalsutra debate in his multiple rallies including in Uttar Pradesh. During his rally in Aligarh, UP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that the Congress would “steal the gold of mothers and sisters" if it was elected to power. Another PM Modi's remark went viral during his speeches when he called the Muslim community as infiltrators. The comment by PM Modi was not taken on a positive note even by the Hindu community as seen on social media. On the employment issue, it seems like the people of UP are not happy with the Modi Government. Notably, the INDIA alliance has promised to give at least 1 crore employment in the form of apprenticeships to the youths of India. Also, the Congress has promised for reservation for the Muslim community just like in Karnataka.
