Days after undergoing heart surgery, Union Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan dies at 74

In shocking and sad news for the national politics of India, Union Consumer Affairs Minister, and President of Lok Janshakti Party passed away at the age of 74. Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, recently underwent heart surgery at Delhi's Fortis hospital, passed away late on Thursday. Ram Vilas Paswan was one of the country's most noted Dalit leaders of India. 

Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag Paswan took to twitter and shared this.  Miss you papa, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief Chirag Paswan tweeted while informing about his the leader's demise.

"Extremely sad to hear about the demise of Union Minister #RamvilasPaswan'ji. A long time Parliamentarian, his contribution to public life will be remembered. My condolences to family members, @iChiragPaswan  in this hour of bereavement. May his soul rest in peace," wrote Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.

Nitin Gadkari also expressed his condolences on Twitter.
