Randeep Hooda to make his digital debut in a cop avatar as 'Inspector Avinash'

The series is set in Uttar Pradesh.

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda who was last seen in Hollywood movie Extraction will soon make his digital debut with the web-series titled Inspector Avinash, a cop thriller based on the real-life experience of police officer Avinash Mishra.

The series is set in Uttar Pradesh and Directed by Neeraj Pathak and produced by Pathak and Krishan Chowdhary. 

Randeep said, "I look forward to exploring new challenging roles with each of my characters and Inspector Avinash gives me a fabulous opportunity to do that' It's a highly inspiring and interesting role based on true life events of a super "cop”. 

He further added that he believes in director Neeraj Pathak’s vision for the show and is eagerly waiting to begin filming for this thrilling police drama.

The actor said that he is excited to do a cop’s role and the audience will see him doing actions. The story is a dramatic retelling of the life of the famed cop dealing with criminal activities of the state. 

The series is scheduled to hit the floor in December 2020.

The cop-thriller Inspector Avinash is co-presented by Jio Studios and Gold Mountain Pictures.

Director Neeraj Pathak believes that Randeep is the perfect choice for the role of a cop and will add an interesting dimension to the "character”.

"We are very excited to have him play the lead. We commence shooting next month" in December," Pathak informed.

The 44-year-old actor will next be seen beside Salman Khan in ‘Radhe’.
