After a span of more than 10 years, ace film-maker duo Farhan Akhtar & Ritesh Sidhwani on Wednesday dropped the first look of their upcoming movie Don 3. Don 3 is the sequel of Don 1 and Don 2 with reportedly a new star cast. Don 3 was among the most-awaited movie from past many years and fans often used to ask Farhan Akhtar about the crime-thriller movie. Now, Farhan Akhtar has finally dropped Don 3's first look, but fans are not happy at all. The reason is Don 3 is making its comeback with a new starcast and Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh portraying the iconic character which was once played by Shah Rukh Khan. Notably, Don was first portrayed on 'megastar' Amitabh Bachchan and then a remake was made by Farhan Akhtar who cast Shah Rukh Khan to play the iconic character. Shah Rukh's portrayal of Don impressed fans all around and therefore, Don 2 was released in December, 2011. Now, Ranveer Singh is confirmed to play the character of Don in Don 3, SRK fans have been slamming the makers for replacing 'King Khan' in the movie.
Don 3 First Look
Don 3's first look opens with Ranveer Singh sitting on a chair in front of a glass window. While soft music plays in the background, Ranveer Singh narrates the iconic 'Don dialogue'. Initially his face is not visible and he starts by saying, "Fir jo so raha hai woh jaagega kab, puchte hai ye sab. Unse keh do ki fir jaag utha hu main aur phir saamne jald aane ko..." He loads a gun and continues, "Kya hai taqat meri kya hai himmat meri phir dikhane ko. Maut se khelna zindagi hai meri jeetna hi mera kaam hai, tum toh ho jaante jo mera naam hai." While lighting a cigarette, he repeats the iconic dialogue of Don, "11 mulkon ki police dhundti hai mujhe par pakad paya hai mujhko kaun, main hun Don." The teaser ends at a shot of Ranveer's face with the popular theme of Don in the background. It is pertinent to mention here that Farhan Akhtar is known for directing the Don franchise while Ritesh Sidhwani is the producer.

Farhan Akhtar explains Don 3 cast change
Farhan Akhtar on Tuesday took to his Instagram and shared a long note which stated, "In 1978, a character created by Salim-Javed and portrayed by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan with effortless elan, captured the imagination of theatregoers across the country. That enigmatic character was Don. In 2006, Don was reimagined and brought to life by Shah Rukh Khan in his own irresistibly charming way. From Don's sardonic wit to his cool but, menacing fury, Shah Rukh embodied his persona. As writer & director, I had a great time creating not one but two, 'Don' films with Shah Rukh and both experiences remain very close to my heart. The time has now come to take the legacy of Don forward and joining us in this new interpretation will be an actor talent and versatility I have long admired. We hope that you show him the love you have so graciously and generously shown to Mr Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. A new era of Don begins in 2025."
