In a shocking development, Karni Sena State President Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi on Tuesday was shot dead at his home in Jaipur. Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's murder took place days after Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023 results were announced in which the BJP secured victory. Although there is no connection between the two events, netizens are pointing to these two events after Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's murder.
As per reports, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was standing outside his house at around 1.45 pm when four men on a scooter opened fire at him and fled the spot. Following that, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was admitted to Metro Mass Hospital however could not survive. The incident occurred in the Shayam Nagar area of the district. As soon as the local police came to know about the incident, they rushed to the spot and are now reportedly trying to examine Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's shootout CCTV footage. As per reports, Ajit Singh, who was with Gogamedi during the incident, was also seriously injured.
Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra was quoted by a newswire saying, "As per initial reports, four people entered a house where Gogamedi was present and opened fire at him. One of Gogamedi's security personnel and another person were injured in the firing."
It is pertinent to mention here that a report suggests that Gangster Sampat Nehra of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had earlier given a threat to the police about the incident. The miscreants also shot the gunman Narendra. It is yet to be ascertained how many rounds of fire were shot at Gogamedi.
For the unversed, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedhi was associated with Rashtriya Karni Sena for a long time. However, after a dispute in the Karni Sena organization a long time ago, Sukhdev formed a separate organization by the name of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sukhdev Singh Gogamedhi first gained limelight when his organization staged a protest against Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his film Padmavat.
