Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Tuesday night scripted history and won the IPL 2025 at the world's biggest Narendra Modi Stadium. RCB vs PBKS IPL 2025 Final ended with Rajat Patidar-led squad defeating Shreyas Iyer & Co. by just 6 runs. RCB, which arguably enjoys the biggest fan base in the IPL, announced a victory parade on June 4, 2025, i.e., today. The IPL 2025 winners took to their social media and announced the RCB Victory Parade in Bengaluru. Sharing an announcement on RCB Victory Parade Today, the franchise wrote, "RCB Victory Parade in Bengaluru..This one’s for you, 12th Man Army. For every cheer, every tear, every year.𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬. More details soon…"
However, it seems like RCB has been denied permission to carry out a victory parade in Bengaluru. Bengaluru Traffic Police on Wednesday issued a statement on X informing the RCBians that there will be no victory parade. Bengaluru Police also issued a travel advisory from 3 pm to 8 pm as there will be only a felicitating ceremony at the Chinnaswamy stadium.
Bengaluru Traffic Police wrote, "Due to felicitation function for RCB team at Chinnaswamy Stadium from 5 PM to 6 PM, public are advised to avoid roads surrounding Vidhana Soudha and Chinnaswamy Stadium from 3 PM to 8 PM. There will be NO victory parade. Due to limited parking, public are advised to use Metro and other public transport."
TOI Bengaluru reported that RCB victory parade is unlikely as Bengaluru police say controlling the crowd on the 1 km stretch will be a challenge. KSCA officials are persuading cops to allow discussions on.
Earlier, it was announced that RCB Victory Parade will kickstart at 3:30 pm today. As per the official announcement, RCB's victory parade in an open bus will start from Vidhana Soudha and will end at Chinnaswamy Stadium. Notably, on Tuesday night, fans in elation hit the streets in Bengaluru. The numbers of fans on the streets were so much that the Police resorted to lathi charge to dispearse the crowd.
As RCB's victory parade is now cancelled, the Karnataka CM Siddaramiah has announced that there will be a felicitation ceremony. Karnataka CM posted on X, "Today at 4 PM, our Government will felicitate our IPL Champions — Royal Challengers Bengaluru — at Vidhana Soudha, on behalf of every Kannadiga. Let’s celebrate this historic victory together!"
