Below is what we know about Karmma Calling True Story-

Is Karmma Calling a true story?

The answer is no. Karmma Calling is the Hindi remake of ABC's hit series Revenge which impressed the director Ruchi Narain so much that she made it as an Indian Adaptation. Notably, it is not the first time, the Hindi film industry has made a series based on a famous foreign series. Disney Plus Hotstar already has a massive hit show Criminal Justice which is the adaptation of a BBC of the same name.

Karmma Calling maker Ruchi Narain in an interview with an entertainment portal said that she was obsessed with ABC‘s early 2010s drama Revenge so much so that she spent years trying to land the rights to remake the Mike Kelley show in India."I was addicted to the show," she recalled adding, "From when I saw episode one a decade ago, I thought that this is it — something that should be taken to the Indian audience." For the unversed, Ruchi Narain is known for hit Indian films such as Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Netflix’s 2020 feature Guilty.

Talking about ABC series Revenge, it is based on the 1844 novel by Alexandre Domas, ‘The Count of Monte Cristo'. The Count of Monte Cristo is an adventure novel written by French author Alexandre Dumas completed in 1844. It is one of the author's most popular works, along with The Three Musketeers.

Coming back to Karmma Calling, Raveena Tandon plays the character of Indrani Kothari and is basically a story of revenge as the name suggests.
