As the farmer protests continue, and the central governmentinteracts with the leaders of the farmers, it appears that the Republic Day of thisyear will be different from routine.
The president of Krantikari Kisan Union, Darshan Pal hasannounced that they have planned 23rd January for a march towardsGovernors' Houses in different States.
Additionally, the Republic Day will see them holding a 'tractorKisan Parade'.
It is relevant to note here that the Minister of State forAgriculture and Farmer Welfare, Kailash Chaudhary clarified, "Iam confident that in the next round of talks with farmers, a solution will bereached and ongoing protest will come to an end. Three farm bills are in favourof farmers. They used to demand to get rid of middleman and sell their produceat rate of their choice."
While, the farmer leaders are denying any cooperation fromthe government and claim that the government’s acceptance of 50% of theirdemands is a “plain lie”.
