The financial capital of India 'Mumbai' is going through a rough phase ever since Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died in a mysterious condition. The people of India and even from Maharashtra were not happy with the way the state government handled Sushant's case. Many accused the Shiv Sena of sheiling the Bollywood A-listers and therefore allege that the Mumbai Police were compromised.

After that, another controversy erupted and Mumbai was compared to the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir by the Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. Recently, a retired naval officer named 'Madan Sharma' was beaten in Mumbai by Shiv Sena workers for forwarding a cartoon mocking Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Madan Sharma, in his complaint, said he had forwarded the cartoon to his residential society's WhatsApp group. He later received a call from one Kamlesh Kadam, who asked his name and address. In the afternoon, he was called outside the building and was attacked by a group of men.

The controversy went further after the Mumbai Police granted all the Shiv Sena workers bail without presenting them to court.

Now, a famous speaker and Retd Major General GD Bakshi has responded to the turmoil going on in Maharashtra. GD Bakshi took to his twitter and wrote, "Dissidents have their Houses destroyed for speaking out in a democracy., news channel correspondents are being arrested and now a veteran Navy officer - a 62 years old retired sea warrior has been attacked and beaten up by goons. Are we living in Xi Jinping's China? This is Crazy."

One is shocked and horrified by What is going on in Maharashtra for the past months and weeks. Has our constitution been abrogated? Have the right to life, liberty , property, etc been suspended? Citizens are getting murdered and their deaths being passed off as suicide.
