Revised Punjab Covid Guidelines: School reopening, Gyms, transport, and much more

Covid-Guidelines Punjab-Covid Education
The Punjab Government has allowed the reopening of Schools, Colleges, and other Educational Institutions from Monday; i.e February 7 onwards. 

"Universities, Colleges (including Medical and Nursing Colleges), Schools from Class 6th onwards), polytechnics, ITIs, coaching institutions, libraries and training institutes (both private and government) are allowed to open from February 7 are allowed for physical classes while adopting requisite social distancing norms, regular sanitization and COVID-19 appropriate behavioral norms," read the order issued by the Punjab Government on Sunday. 

"Concerned institutions may advise all the students of age group more than 15 years to have at least first dose of vaccination while attending physical classes. Students will have the option to attend online classes," he added.

COVID-19 Restrictions from 06-02-2022 to 15-02-2022

1. Social distancing and wearing of masks
a) Wearing of masks by all persons in public places, including
workplaces, etc. will be mandatory and must be strictly observed
and enforced.
b) Social distancing i.e minimum 6 feet distance (do Gaz ki duri) for
all the activities shall always be maintained.
2. Gatherings
Gatherings shall be limited to 500 persons indoors and 1000
persons outdoors. This shall also be subject to an upper limit of
50% of the capacity of the venue. These gatherings will be
subject to compliance with COVID appropriate behavior.
3. Educational Institutions
Universities, Colleges (including Medical and Nursing Colleges),
Schools (for classes 6th standard onwards), Polytechnics, ITIs,
Coaching Institutions, Libraries and Training Institutes (whether
Government or Private) are allowed to open w.e.f. 07.02.2022 for
physical classes while adopting requisite social distancing norms,
regular sanitization and Covid-19 appropriate behavioral norms.

4. Prohibited/Restricted activities
a) All bars, cinemas halls, multiplexes, malls, restaurants, spas,
gyms, sports complexes, museums, zoos, etc. shall be allowed to
operate at 75% of their capacity subject to all staff present being
fully vaccinated.
b) AC buses will run at 50% of capacity.
5. Principle of No Mask - No Service
No Service shall be provided in Government or private offices to
the persons not wearing a proper mask.
6. Only passengers who are fully vaccinated, or Covid recovered or
with negative RTPCR report of fewer than 72 hrs shall be allowed
entry in Punjab. In case a passenger doesn't have either of these,
RAT testing shall be mandatory. Passengers traveling by flights
shall be mandatorily required to be fully vaccinated, or Covid
recovered, or with negative RTPCR reports of the last 72 hrs.
7. Persons with disabilities and pregnant women employees shall be
exempted from attending office but are required to work from
home.
