Rhea Chakraborty's bail application, which was to be heard at the Bombay High Court on Wednesday could be delayed due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai. Team Rhea Chakraborty on Tuesday filed 47 pages bail application and made some serious allegations against the late actor and his family.
Going by the bail plea, Rhea claimed that Sushant Singh Rajput sourced and procured ganja for himself. She further added that the actor smoked cigarettes containing ganja. Rhea also claimed that Sushant told her that he developed a deep liking for ganja during the shooting of Kedarnath. The actress further alleged that she tried to dissuade Sushant from this habit many times.
Rhea Chakraborty in her bail plea also said, "Sushant Singh Rajput was the only consumer of drugs and that he was directing his staff members to procure his drugs". She also says "if the late actor were alive today, he would have been charged for the consumption of small quantities, which is a bailable offense having punishment of a term of imprisonment upto one year."
Interestingly, Rhea Chakraborty has confessed to the NCB that she not only paid for the drugs but also consumed it.
It is "preposterous", she argues, that while the "consumer of drugs" would receive a maximum punishment of up to one year jail, she would having paid for the drugs on a few occasions, would be subjected to up to 20 years in jail.
Rhea Chakraborty also said that Sushant "used her, her brother Showik and members of his household staff to facilitate his own drug habit while ensuring that he did not leave a paper trail of his own in the form of any electronic evidence whatsoever". She also said: "It is unfortunate that Sushant Singh Rajput took advantage of those closest to him to sustain his drug habit and thought it fit to expose them to the perils that would entail".
