Rhea Chakraborty on Monday filed a fresh affidavit in the Supreme Court of India. The actress in her 14 pages fresh affidavit said that the ongoing ‘media trial’ against her in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case should be stopped.  She further stated that the investigation is still underway but she is blamed in the case by the media. In the affidavit, she has also stated that she has no objection if the Apex court would transfer the probe in the Sushant Singh Rajput case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). She also stated that the media is ‘unfairly’ targeting her.

However, she also alleged that the Bihar police crossed their jurisdiction under “political pressure” and they could not transfer probe to the CBI. Rhea's point on the CBI probe is speaking both things. At one place she said that she has no problem with the CBI probe on the other she said that the CBI has no jurisdiction.

Rhea also urged the top court to ensure that she is not be made a scapegoat of political agenda in the wake of the Bihar elections scheduled later this year.

After her affidavit, Sushant's family lawyer raised questions on Rhea of her comment on the CBI probe should not be entertained. Vikas Singh said that now it has been proved that Rhea's request from Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the CBI probe was only to gain sympathy and hollow.

On media trial, Vikas said that Sanjay Raut himself made fake allegations on Sushant Singh Rajput's family. Going by the right to free speech, media cannot be stopped to cover Sushant Singh Rajput's case.
