In the last five state elections, the BJP has been successful in forming the government in four states of Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Uttar Pradesh.  

On the other hand, the performance of Congress has been very poor in five states.

In such a situation, amid the growing support base of the BJP and the fragile condition of the Congress, preparations have been started by many regional parties to form a third front.

We can inform you that given the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, 10 regional political parties have started taking steps to build a new front. 

In this W. Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Telangana CM K.  Chandrashekhar Rao is seen playing an important role. It is worth noting that this behind-the-scenes effort has now reached Delhi.

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin are also joining in these efforts. However under the leadership of their parties, preparations are being made to convene a meeting of non-BJP and non-Congress CMs of 10 states. 

The purpose of which is to prepare a new front without Congress and BJP.

In this episode, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao is going to go to Delhi on March 30. This will be his second visit of this kind to Delhi in a month. 

The last time Rao had gone to Delhi on March 1, he had met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. At the same time, there was a round of meetings between Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Andhra Pradesh CM Jaganmohan Reddy and Tamil Nadu CM Stalin.

Apart from this series of meetings, now the news of a meeting regarding the Third Front in Mumbai or Delhi has come to the fore. Sources say that this meeting will be held in the coming few weeks. 

In which the Chief Ministers of 10 states will be involved. In the meeting, strategies for coming to the Center in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections apart from BJP and Congress will be discussed.

Congress is also being kept separate from this front because, in the last five state elections, the BJP has appeared invincible in front of Congress.


In such a situation, the third front is being assumed that it is not easy for Congress to stop the BJP. Therefore, there is a need for a third front.

What is the picture of the Third Front:

The most important character in this front is Mamta Banerjee. However, there are 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal. In which 22 TMC, 18 BJP and Congress have 2 seats at present. 

In Tamil Nadu, the DMK currently has 23 of the 39 seats in the state.  8 Congress and 8 seats are with others.

Of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, 9 are with TRS, 4 with BJP, 3 with Congress and one with others. 

Moreover, Telangana CM Chandrashekhar Rao is proving to be an important role in creating a third front till the next elections.
