THESE routes between Punjab & Ambala to be closed ahead of Kisan Morcha’s march to Delhi

Police will not allow traffic from Shambu to Ambala from 10 AM tomorrow

26 farmer organizations including Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha will march to Delhi on 13 February. Farmers from Punjab will enter Haryana on 10 thousand tractor trolleys to go to Delhi through Shambhu Border, Dabwali and Khanauri Border. In view of this, arrest of farmer leaders have started in Haryana. Police is raiding the houses of the leaders to put them under house arrest. Section 144 has been imposed in Ambala to stop farmers from Punjab from going to Delhi via Haryana. All the bus services running between Punjab and Haryana have also been stopped.

 

The route of the road going from Patiala to Ambala  has been diverted. In light of this development, the traffic will be diverted through these routes:

  • Shambu/ Rajpura- Banur- Airport road- Derabassi- Ambala- Delhi 
  • Shambu/ Rajpura- Banur- Zirakpur- Panchkula- Nada Sahib- Barwala- Shehzadpur- Saha- Shahbad- Delhi  
  • Rajpura- Patiala- Pehowa- Kurukshetra- Delhi  
  • Rajpura- Patiala- Pehowa- 152D Expressway- Rohtak- Delhi

 

The Shambhu border between Punjab and Haryana has been completely sealed with cement barricades and barbed wires. The administration has also closed the bridge over the Ghaggar river. Excavation is also being done so that farmers cannot pass through it with tractors. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has discussed with Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the farmers' march.

 

After Sonipat and Jhajjar, Section 144 has been imposed in Panchkula also. Farmers from Punjab via Chandigarh can also enter Haryana via Panchkula to go to Delhi. About 150 checkpoints have been set up in the state to stop the processions.
