In a sensational revelation, Russian soldiers allegedly sent flirty texts and tried to pick up Ukrainian women on dating app Tinder hours ahead of invasion into Kyiv. As per The Sun, Ukrainian women in the second city Kharkiv just 20 miles from were Russian troops were shocked after receiving numerous 'flirty' texts from them on Tinder. The incident occurred hours before Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a 'military operation' in Ukraine's Donbas region.

As per the report, a Tinder user named Dasha Synelnikova’s started getting notifications with snaps of dozens of Russians when she set her location to Kharkiv on Tinder on Thursday. The report further suggests that the Russian soldiers came into the range of Ukrainian women when a large amount of the red army and their tanks were within the striking distance of the city.

Taking to The Sun, Video Producer Dasha said, "I actually live in Kyiv but changed my location settings to Kharkiv after a friend told me there were Russian troops all over Tinder. And I couldn’t believe my eyes when they popped up trying to look tough and cool. One muscular guy posed up trying to look sexy in bed posing with his pistol. I didn’t find any of them attractive and would never consider sleeping with the enemy."

However, Dasha talked to one of the Russian soldiers on Tinder named Andrei. This is how the chat went-

Dasha: “Where are you? Are you in Kharkiv?

Andrei: “Of course I am not in Kharkiv but I am close — 80km.”

Dasha: “Do you have any plans to visit us?”

Andrei: “I would come with pleasure but Russian guys have not been welcome in Ukraine since 2014

Dasha: “What do you do?”

Andrei: “I was born in Belgorod and was an engineer before 2014 and visited Kharkiv quite a lot and loved it there so much I wanted to buy a flat. I love travel to Asia, particularly Thailand. But now it’s a difficult time. I wanted to travel to Europe but getting a visa is difficult because no one likes Russia right now.”

However, when Dasha inquired whether he is a Russian soldier, Andrei replied with GIF of Jim Carrey saying 'oops'.

Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Coming back to the conflict, Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday announced a “military operation" in Ukraine's Donbas region. A huge military convoy of more than 100 military trucks with soldiers was also seen heading towards the Ukrainian border where 190,000 Russian troops are already massed, raising fears Putin is about to stage a land-grab in eastern Ukraine.

In a recent report, it was revealed that more than 100 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 10 civilians lost their lives as Russia increased its intensity of attack on Ukraine. Even reports suggested that Russian fired missiles and its paramilitary troops were seen landing on Ukrainian soil.
