Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh performs 'The Prayer' for Ukraine during Miss World 2021; Watch

Miss World 2019 Tony-Ann Singh performed 'The Prayer' during the 70th Miss World pageant to express solidarity with Ukraine amid the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

Miss World 2019 Tony-Ann Singh performed 'The Prayer' during the 70th Miss World pageant to express solidarity with Ukraine amid the Russia-Ukraine crisis. 

The pageant was held on 16 March (17 March IST) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. 2020 is delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The contestants and organizers lit candles during Singh's soul-stirring performance. 

A banner with the words "Pray for Peace" is on the screen behind the stage. Singh from Jamaica wore a beautiful fuchsia outfit for the event. 

She took the crown of Miss World 2021 Carolina Bilawska from Poland. Indian-American Mr Saini from the US took the first runner-up title, followed by Olivia Yeses from Cote d'Ivoire as the second runner-up.


Femina Miss India World 2020 Manasa Varanasi represented India at the 70th Miss World. She reached the top 13 contestants but could not make it to the top 6 finalists.
 

Poland's Karolina Bilawska won the title of international beauty pageant Miss World 2021. Indian-American Mr Saini from the United States won the first runner-up title, followed by Olivia Yeses from Cote d'Ivoire runner up. 

The competition took place on 16 March (17 March IST) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after it was delayed due to COVID-19 in 2020. Femina Miss India World 2020 Manasa Varanasi represented India at Miss World 2021. 


She reached the top 13 contestants, but could not make it to the top 6 finalists. India last took the crown in 2017, represented by model-actor Manushi Chhillar. The recently crowned Miss World is preceded by Miss World 2019 Tony-Ann Singh from Jamaica.
