In a massive development, Mumbai Cyber Cell's Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Sunday arrested Bollywood actor & influencer Sahil Khan. Sahil Khan who acted in movies like Style & Excuse Me was arrested in Chhattisgarh after his plea for pre-arrest bail was rejected by the Bombay High Court. Sahil Khan's arrest reason
As per reports, Sahil Khan was arrested for his alleged involvement in the Mahadev betting app case. The SIT had summoned Sahil Khan and three others for questioning in December 2023, but he did not show up. He claimed to be just a brand promoter under a contract with M/s. Isports247, promoting The Lion Book brand, and denied direct association with the betting platform. However, the police said he was a co-owner of the app. He is being brought to Mumbai via Raipur.
As per the Mumbai Police, Sahil Khan was the partner in Lotus App 247 and will be produced before the court this afternoon.
On the other hand, Sahil Khan had explained that his contract was for 24 months, with a monthly payment of 3 lakhs for posting promotional videos on his social media. Despite this, the court dismissed his bail plea, citing his direct involvement in the illegal operation.
Notably, Sahil Khan is now much more involved in social media influencing and he has also founded Divine Nutrition, which offers fitness supplements.
