'Salman Khan is GOAT': SRK wins the internet after a fan says 'you cannot compete with Dabangg actor'

Riding on the horse of success, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is on a record-breaking spree ever since it was released in theaters on January 25, 2023. Pathaan was released amid massive controversies after its song Besharam Rang showcased Deepika Padukone donning a saffron-colored bikini. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in the lead roles, Pathaan entered the 200-crore club just two days after its release. Shah Rukh Khan who is receiving an overwhelming response through Pathaan conducted an AskMeAnything session on Twitter and interacted with fans. As always, SRK was witty and humourous at the same time while responding to fans questions. Notably, one of the major talking points of Pathaan is Bollywood actor Salman Khan's cameo. Salman Khan who portrays the character of Tiger in YRF's spy-thriller franchise has made a special guest appearance in SRK's movie. Fans are loving Salman Khan's cameo and some fans of 'Dabangg' Khan are also saying that the presence of 'Bhaijaan' stole the entire show from SRK in Pathaan.

Similarly, a Salman Khan fan tried to troll Shah Rukh Khan by saying that Pathaan has become a blockbuster hit but he cannot compete against Salman Khan at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan took the comment very politely and also hailed Salman Khan. Responding to the fan's comment SRK said that 'Salman Khan is the GOAT'.

As reported by Trade analyst Ramesh Bala, Pathaan on Day 2 grossed over Rs 235 crores globally with Rs 70 crores earning just in India. Pathaan opened at Rs 55 crores on Day 1 becoming the highest opener Hindi film in showbiz history. Pathaan turned magical for SRK’s filmography as well. The Don actor who has 62 films in his name, saw his highest first-day collection with Pathaan. Earlier, this record was held by ​SRK's 2014 film Happy New Year which opened at Rs 36.31 crore. Other films of SRK that are on the list of Day 1 huge earnings are Chennai Express with Rs 30.48 crore, 'Dilwale' with Rs 20.37 crore and Raees with Rs 20.29 crore.

In the history of Hindi cinema, Pathaan became the highest opener ever. With a net gross of 55 crores, this SRK starrer surpassed 'KGF 2' and 'WAR' which earned Rs 53.95 and Rs 51.60 crore respectively. 'Thugs of Hindostan' and 'Bharat' are in the fourth and fifth spots with earnings of Rs 50.75 and Rs 41.62 crore.​

To take a risk with a Non-holiday release is a risky bet but this SRK release did it smoothly. Releasing on Wednesday (25th January), Pathan earned itself a record for the highest-grossing first day for a non-holiday release. The film, fortunately, picked up with huge margins on Day 2 as it fell on the Republic Day holiday.
