Sanjay Raut viral leaked audio has sent the Shiv Sena MP into legal trouble at a time when the ED arrested him late Sunday night in the Patra Chawl scam case. While Sanjay Raut leaked call recording is doing rounds on social media, the opposition parties have created a ruckus in the Lok Sabha in a bid to protest the Shiv Sena MP's arrest over citing 'vendetta politics'.
In the viral Sanjay Raut leaked call recording, the Shiv Sena MP allegedly can be heard abusing and threatening Dr Swapna Patker, a Marathi film producer and renowned psychologist. In the alleged Sanjay Raut leaked call recording, the Shiv Sena MP was heard using extremely foul and abusive language and saying, "Record this call and send it to the police, do whatever you want. Wait and watch. Transfer the property in either Sujit or my name." Furthermore, the man can be heard threatening the woman with veiled threats and calling her ‘Sa*li’, ‘madharch*d’ and ‘behench*d’.

After alleged Sanjay Raut abusive call recording went viral, an FIR was registered against him at the Vakola police station under sections 504,506 and 509 of IPC. Interestingly, Sanjay Raut and Swapna Patker have a history. In 2021, Patkar had alleged that she is being harassed, tortured and abused by Shiv Sena MP and Editor of Saamana, Sanjay Raut, for the past eight years. Furthermore, Swapna can also be heard saying that she and Sanjay Raut’s wife Varsha jointly held land parcels in Alibag which were attached by the ED during the investigation of the case.

Sanjay Raut Arrest
Coming back to Sanjay Raut's arrest, the Shiv Sena Rajya MP was arrested by Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in the re-development of a Mumbai chawl and related transactions involving his wife and 'associates'. The arrest is linked to a Rs 1,034-crore alleged land scam related to the re-development of the chawl in Mumbai’s Goregaon. Reportedly, Raut was arrested for 'non-cooperation', with ED alleging that 'unaccounted cash was recovered'. Furthermore, incriminating documents were also seized. Before Raut's arrest, ED had raided his house in Bhandup on Sunday.
