
Ever since the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came into power, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has introduced plethora of schemes and policies that are benefitting the common people of the state directly. Among the many schemes, one that has impacted the common people on ground is Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar.
Under Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar, the people of Punjab can get government certificates and other government services from the comfort of their homes. It means Mann Government's this particular scheme, people of Punjab now no need to stand up in queue to get any type of government certificate. Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar scheme has not only enabled CM Mann to reach in almost every household but also brought his governance door to door.
For those who are unaware, AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann launched ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar’ in 2023 wherein 43 citizen-centric services can be done from the comfort of one’s own home. Both Kejriwal and Punjab CM Mann inaugurated the launch of ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar', calling the day of its launch a historic affair in politics. Under the Doorstep Delivery scheme, 43 citizen-centric services that would usually require a trip to the Sewa Centre and entail standing in long queues for hours can now be done from the comfort of one‘s own home.
People of Punjab can avail the service by calling a dedicated helpline number 1076 and scheduling an appointment at their convenience. The citizens will be informed of the documents required, fees applicable, and others for the service to be availed adding that citizens will receive an SMS with the list of documents required and date/ time of appointment.
Specially trained personnel will visit their homes/ offices at the scheduled time with Tablets in order to complete the necessary paperwork, collect fees and give an acknowledgement receipt with which the Citizen can track his application. This scheme will not only enhance the convenience of people but also eradicate the role of middlemen thereby bringing in transparency, efficiency and citizen-centric governance.
