Sushant-Singh-Rajput Rhea-Chakraborty Bombay-High-Court

Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and Sushant's sisters Meetu and Priyanka are having a legal fight at the Bombay High Court. Sushant Singh Rajput's sisters Priyanka and Meetu had knocked on the doors of the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR registered by the Mumbai Police on the complaint of actress Rhea Chakraborty. The complaint by Rhea Chakraborty was later transferred to the CBI.

The Mumbai Police, through Nikhil Kapse, senior inspector, Bandra police station, filed an affidavit and opposed the plea of Sushant's sisters. "According to the informant (Rhea), the criminal conspiracy is, obtaining fabricated prescription based on falsehood may have led to the administration of psychotropic substances without actual examination of Rajput and may have caused and contributed in suicidal death of the actor," the affidavit said.

"This version of the informant disclosed cognisable offences warranting investigation and requiring no preliminary enquiry. Therefore, the Mumbai Police were duty-bound to register the FIR,” the affidavit said.

"This may have led to the administration of psychotropic substances without actual examination of Rajput by the doctor and may have caused and contributed in his suicidal death. This version of the informant disclosed cognisable offences warranting investigation and requiring no preliminary enquiry. Therefore, the Mumbai police were duty-bound to register the FIR," added Mumbai Police.

Now, Satish Maneshinde has released his statement on the behalf of Rhea Chakraborty. Maneshinde said, "SSR was consulting 5 doctors in Mumbai who had advised him to abstain from Narcotic Substances as he was being treated for Mental Health issues. Since SSR refused to accede to Rhea's suggestion to follow the advice of the Mumbai Doctors, her departure from SSR home was inevitable, as per the wishes of SSR."

Interestingly, the WhatsApp chats recovered and the statement of drug peddlers say that Rhea Chakraborty was also indulged in drugs. Her brother Showik Chakraborty's bail was rejected by the Bombay High Court in the drugs case that emerged in Sushant Singh Rajput's case.

The CBI has clearly stated to the Bombay High Court, "FIR is vitiated & bad in law. The complaint filed by Rhea Chakraborty is  mostly speculative in nature & such speculation can't be made the basis of an FIR."

Now, all eyes on the Bombay High Court that whether it quashes Rhea Chakraborty's FIR or not.
