SC allows Karti Chidambaram to travel abroad for tennis tournament. Asks to deposit Rs 10 crore as surety

Karti Chidambaram is a very big tennis enthusiast and has even served as the Vice President of All India Tennis Association (AITA).

Supreme Court of India gave an ironic decision that allowed Karti Chidambaram to travel abroad for two weeks for attending a tennis tournament.

Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram son Karti Chidambaram who is one trial had filed a plea in the supreme court that he wished to travel abroad, including France and London, for a tennis tournament. Although, Supreme Court allowed Karti but also asked him to deposit Rs 10 crore as surety with the SC registry.

Karti Chidambaram is a very big tennis enthusiast and has even served as the Vice President of All India Tennis Association (AITA).

The Enforcement Directorate had claimed that Karti Chidambaram had bought land and tennis club in Spain's Barcelona, slated to be worth Rs 15 crore.
