
As the Supreme Court had put a stay on the implementationof contentious farm laws, the Delhi police had filed a plea seeking a ban onRepublic day Tractor rally by farmers. After the apex court formed a committee,it is expected to submit its report in two months.
Although, the situation remains tense because farmers'leaders and unions don't wish to be a part of committee. The farmers allegethat the members of the committee have already taken stance that is in favor ofthe farm laws.
In the wake of farmers rejection of the committee set bythe SC, one of the members of the committee, Bhupinder Singh Mann opted out ofit. Mann said, "I am recusing myself from the committee and I will alwaysstand with my farmers and Punjab."
Now the SC is going to hear a plea filed by the Delhipolice asking to stay the farmers' 'Tractor Rally' on Republic day that fallson January 26.
Whatthe farmers are saying?
The farmer leaders are eager to carry out their Tractorrally on January 26. For the purpose of this parade, many farmers are comingfrom various parts of India. They set off to Delhi on their tractors sinceJanuary 20 as they said they didn't want rush on the roads.
Moreover, as per the report published in The Telegraph,one of the leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), Rakesh Tikait said, they areof the view that they are ready to protest till 2024.

As the National Investigation Agency had sent notices tofarmers' leaders and Khalsa aid, it has been termed as a method or tool todismantle the protests by the government. However, farmers say they willcontinue protesting till the laws are not repealed.
