Although Telgi's wife Nafisa did not like his way of money making, his daughter Sana Talikoti always loved her father.  Now, Abdul Karim Telgi's daughter Sana Talikoti, she is now married, and before the release of the series she fought a legal battle against the makers of Scam 2003 to stop its streaming. 

 

As per reports, Sana Talikoti filed a defamation case in Mumbai Civil Court in December 2022 against the makers of the online series “Scam 2003 — The Curious Case of Abdul Karim Lala Telgi,” which is based on his life.

 

Sana Talikoti had reportedly argued that the project’s creators did not get the family’s approval before moving forward.  Furthermore, Sana Talikoti claimed that the series is based on a book that contained factual inaccuracies in her lawsuit, which was filed through attorney Madhav Thorat. She said that the web series violated the family’s right to privacy, dignity, and respect for themselves.

 

Sana had expressed that the web series would also be bad for her young children. She said that her father had committed a lot of time and resources to a number of social causes, including paying for the construction of water tanks, bore wells, temples, and mosques, to name a few. She said that he had also funded several underprivileged kids’ education. Interestingly, Scam 2003 showcased how Telgi used such noble causes for his own benefit to carry out the Fake Paper Stamp Scam.

Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story Volume 2 has showcased Abdul Karim Telgi was tested positive for HIV. Notably, Telgi had an extramarital affair with a bar girl. Telgi came under the scanner of authorities and politicians when he spent almost Rs 100 crore cash on a girl inside a dance bar in a matter of few hours. Although Scam 2003 - The Telgi Story Volume 2 does not confirm that Abdul Telgi got infected with HIV by the bar girl, it indeed broke the mastermind of the fake paper stamp case.
