180 school students test covid-19 positive in Haryana, schools to remain shut till Nov 30

Schools in Haryana will remain closed till November 30 after more than 180 government school students tested Covid-19 positive.

The Haryana Education administration has decided to close down all schools in the state on Friday until November 30. The decision was taken after more than 180 government school students were tested positive for coronavirus. 

The state government has collected the samples for covid from students in districts like Sonepat, Fatehabad and Bhiwani, Jind, Jhajjar and including several other districts.

Proper sanitisation of all the schools has been taken care of by the state government authorities. 

Rewari, Jhajjar, Jind, Hisar and Rohtak districts, students have been found covid positive in these districts so far.

Like many other states in the country, the Haryana government too decided to resume physical classes after November 2. Haryana witnessed a decrease in Covid-19 cases in September and early October, so the authorities decided to reopen the school. 

Haryana on Thursday recorded 2,212 new COVID-19 cases pushing the state’s total tally to 2,09,251. As many as 1,87,559 patients have recovered from the infection so far. The death count in the state is at 2,113 while the state has 19,579 active cases.
