Secunderabad: Amid 'Agnipath' protest Youth sets train ablaze in a viral video, shows 'it was preplanned'

Secunderabad: Police have arrested 10 more people in connection with the arson and sabotage at Secunderabad railway station in Telangana against the Agnipath scheme of army recruitment.

Secunderabad: Police have arrested 10 more people in connection with the arson and sabotage at Secunderabad railway station in Telangana against the Agnipath scheme of army recruitment. Meanwhile, two videos are viral on social media. In a video, two youths are seen setting fire to different berths of a train. In another video, several youths are seen damaging the doors and windows of train coaches and breaking glass with sticks.

These videos shot from mobile are being told of last Friday, June 17. Location Hyderabad, Telangana is written in the mobile video. While sharing the video on social media, it is being told of arson and vandalism at Secunderabad railway station. It can be seen in the video that a young man is setting fire by placing a cartoon-like thing in the gap of one of the berths of the train. After that, another youth is doing the same work on the second berth.

Another video was shared by Telangana Mata, in which some youths are seen damaging the train standing at the station, vandalizing the railway station and breaking the windows of the train.

Protesters were called through WhatsApp in Secunderabad'
According to media reports, regarding the sabotage at the Secunderabad railway station, the police said that the five accused had circulated messages as admins of several WhatsApp groups to the people willing to join the army join the violence. In this, there was talk of vandalism and arson in railway coaches at Secunderabad railway station.


According to a report, a 23-year-old youth, Prithviraj, who played an important role in the arson at the railway station, has been arrested from Sonapur village in Adilabad district. According to the report, in a video seized by the police from the mobile phone of the accused, Prithviraj was seen setting fire to the berth of the train, which went viral on social media on June 22. 

Police said, On investigation, it was found that when Prithviraj was setting fire to the coach, he asked his friends to shoot the video. We can identify him with the help of the video which was circulated in the WhatsApp group of the candidates who are interested in joining the army. The police have said that Prithviraj and another youth set fire to the seats of the train, a video of this is available.

Apart from this, the police have also seized another video, in which Prithviraj and others were seen damaging the doors and windows of train coaches and breaking glass with sticks. At the same time, according to the police remand report presented in the court, the accused confessed to the attack on the railway station.
