Srinagar, Jan 6: Security forces on Sunday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Shopian.
Official sources reported that following specific information about presence of militants, Special Operations Group (SOG) of state police, Army and CRPF launched a joint CASO at Haf in Shopian on Sunday morning.
They said security forces were conducting house-to-house search in the area.
"Searches were also being conducted in nearby fields and orchards," they added.
They said operation was going on when the reports last came in, adding that no contact has been established with the militants so far.
